Business Pitch Event

Make sure you qualify to apply – your business must be in NJ and be registered with the state of New Jersey as of June 6 (12 PM EDT).

Eligibility Criteria

• Your business must be in NJ
• You must have registered the business or start-up with the State of NJ
• Potential and existing businesses must be 51% woman-owned

Excluded are non-profit businesses and those related to firearms, cannabis, marijuana products, or adult entertainment.

Applications Evaluation Criteria

• Completed Application with clear and convincing answers to the questions.
• The market need or problem the product or service solves
• The creativity of the product or service solution
• The potential to have a positive impact on NJ
• The potential to create jobs in NJ

All Women-owned existing businesses and Women-Led Startups in New Jersey are encouraged to apply.

All applications must be submitted by June 6 at 12 PM (Noon) EDT. Submit the form via email to ch.admin0024@scorevolunteer.org

All applicants and the semi-finalists will be notified by June 17.

Semi-finalists will be advanced to the Pitch round of the Competition. All semi-finalists will be given a Pitch event outline for their presentations and the evaluation criteria for the Pitch event.

Each semi-finalist will be given the opportunity to work with a SCORE NJ mentor between June 20- July 15 to perfect their Pitch presentation. Presentations will be approximately 15 minutes with some Q&A from the judging mentors.

The Pitch Competition – will be virtual and held the week of July 18.

A panel of SCORE NJ Mentors from across New Jersey will serve as Judges.

The two winners will be announced on July 22 and will be given online promotion across SCORE NJ nationally and SCORE NJ social media venues. (by applying, you agree to allow this promotion).
